Dr. Hennagin joined the OBU faculty in 1986 and teaches all levels of mathematics courses. His interests range from house work to jigsaw puzzles. On most days he can be found in his office working math puzzles while enjoying a half cup of coffee.

An OBU alum, “Spud” joined the faculty in 1996 and specializes in OBU’s courses for the preparation of mathematics teachers. Before returning to OBU, he taught at a high school, a junior high, a technical college, a community college, and a state university. He is a sports enthusiast and a master racquetball player.

Dr. Sykes joined the OBU faculty in 2002 and teaches all levels of mathematics courses. He is a 2000-2001 fellow of Project NExT and the coordinator of the Arkansas Undergraduate Mathematics Competition. When he is trying to avoid grading, he enjoys spending time with his wife, participating in church programs, and reading comic books.

Dr. Dwelle joined the OBU faculty in 2007 and teaches all levels of mathematics courses. Her dissertation topic was in the field of linear algebra. She enjoys recruiting new players to play Cities & Knights, and she has a deep and abiding obsession with prime numbers.

Dr. Matocha joined the OBU faculty in 2008 and teaches all levels of computer science courses. When he is not otherwise engaged by his students, he enjoys spending time with his family. As evidenced by his mugshot at right, he’s not afraid to show his silly side.
